The first-time kindle is providing the feature of reading books on your android devices. Before kindle, people use to read books in libraries. This costs time as well as running to the library as well. Thus amazon kindle turns this conventional reading method into a digital one. Now you can read any time anywhere on any device.
Amazon Kindle .APK Download
This is based on my EVO, but they appear to download into the Appstore's "private" external storage directory, which is /sdcard/Android/data/com.amazon.venezia/cache/. From what I've seen they appear to then get deleted after being installed, but anything which has been downloaded and not installed looks to be there.
I just recently purchased my Galaxy Tab S6. I love it's ease of use, construction and the speed ain't too bad either. However, since I'm a convert from Amazon Kindle Fire HD, I was hoping to transfer my Amazon Game Apps to use on the new tablet. However, every time I go to amazon.com/getappstore, I see the page telling you to click on a link or have it emailed to you. The tablet does nothing. There's no button on the page to actually download the Appstore. Each time I keep going around and around in a circle. The Settings aren't much help either because I don't see where to tell the system that it's ok to install 3rd party apps. I can't recall ever having been so frustrated with a Samsung device. I have the Galaxy Note 10+ and I'm hoping to get them to work with each other; especially when I'm at work. That was really the whole reason to purchase the tablet. Amazon is good with hardware (tablets) for reading and even viewing video. However, what's under the hood, CPU power, memory, etc I find truly lacking. Never again will I buy a Kindle, I'll always stick with Samsung tablets.
Unfortunately, there is NO Amazon Appstore within Google Play. There are Amazon apps ad nauseum, but not the specific "Amazon Appstore". However, I found a solution via another site (following a Google search). I went to a site for downloading .apk files. I found a slightly older version of the Amazon Appstore and got it to install. However, it works best if the tablet is NOT in Dex mode. When in non-Dex mode, the application shows up in the proper orientation and I'm now able to install Amazon apps and also access my existing Amazon coins, etc. That was the entire point. I had apps and coins (which represent a monetary value) which had been on my Kindle Fire HD 10". Once I got the Samsung configured in the way I wanted it, I could reset the Kindle to factory defaults. However, I couldn't do that until my Amazon apps and coins were successfully transferred to the new machine.
